Project manager, developer and team leader in projects subsidized by the Swedish Institute through the programme “Creative Force - Western Balkans” during 2009-2010. “Cerain summer music school for Roma children” in 2009 was an educational project targeting Roma children in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, using the language of music to teach about the human rights and tolerance. A wide cooperation between artists and experts from around Europe with local artists, NGO:s, Roma organizations, local universities, ministries of education, local authorities, and culture institutions.
The project was presented on the “EU projects in favour of the Roma community” conference in Brussels in march 2010, held by the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of European Commission.
“Cerain Cookbook” in 2010 is a serial of seminars and idea-exchange network meetings on pedagogic methods of using art and creativity in work with children (especially the children of the marginalized groups), targeting teachers, educators, local authorities, museum curators, library workers, artists, NGOs, and students. The seminars were held in Serbia during 2010, resulting in a book - a collection of pedagogic methods, real-life experiences and project ideas. (Swedish Institute - www.si.se) |

“Srebrenica - A ‘Safe’ Area” independent historical report (Srebrenica report)

This report was commissioned by the Dutch government to reconstruct and describe events before, during and after the fall of UN enclave Srebrenica in the former-Yugoslavia.
Responsibilities:
• Research (initiate and complete projects within budget and timetable).
• Obtain, analyze and summarize open-source/classified documents in various private, NGO, governmental, military, NATO, UN, and ICTY archives.
• Coordinate, implement and summarize interviews with (>300) individuals from all involved parties in the region: victims, perpetrators, high-ranking government officials and refugees.
• Initiate and coordinate the teams projects, research activities and fieldwork in the region.
• Establish and maintain a network of NIOD with various institutions/individuals throughout the former Yugoslavia, involved in the aftermath of the event.
• Initialized the analysis and summarizing of academic literature and journalism from the regional press in the 1990s: managed/trained a group of translators, journalists, and military/academic researchers.
• Writing parts of report Srebrenica - A ‘Safe’ Area
• Promotion in the media of the publication after its completion. |
